SUMMARY:USBC Barista Preliminaries at Black & White Coffee Roasters
DESCRIPTION:Slayer will be joining Black & White Coffee Roasters as they host the USBC Barista Preliminaries in Raleigh\, NC.  The Barista competitors will be going head to head on a Slayer Steam EP. \nFor the 2023 season of the United States Barista Championship (USBC) there will be 2 Qualifying Competitions leading up to the national championship. In order to move on to USBC\, Baristas must first qualify at Coffee Champs. \nThe Raleigh\, NC Barista Prelim will host 24 competitors. The Top 6 competitors from each Prelim receive a reserved spot at one of the Coffee Champs Qualifying Competitions. \nAt the U.S. Coffee Champs Barista Prelims: Competitors will have 7 minutes to make espressos and milk beverages for 2 sensory judges. Competitor’s preparation skills will be assessed by 1 technical judge. A Head Judge oversees all these judges but does not score. Competitors must use the provided compulsory coffee(s). Competitors will choose from 2 or more compulsory coffees in a blind tasting. All wares and equipment are supplied by Prelims Hosts!
