Tech Tips & Tricks: Setting Expansion Valve

Recommended steps to follow:

1. Insert blind portafilter

2. Loosen lock nut on pump adjustment and adjust pump to 11 bar

3. Adjust your expansion valve to leak one drop every 2-3 seconds at 11 bar. Right increases the tension, left decreases the tension.

4. Adjust your pump back to 10 bar and tighten the lock nut.

5. You have set your expansion valve!
